- Carp Ridge Forest Preschool
- Mission Statement: To execute a holistic forest preschool program, which will illicit in each child a strong sense of the imagination, empowerment, increased mobility and motor skills, respect for self and for others, healthy living, and environmental responsibility. This will be achieved by delivering an almost exclusively outdoor-based program where children use the environment and objects found in nature to explore the world. Facilitators and volunteers will be trained in delivering a program based on engaging children’s spirits, leading curriculum based on research and developmental readiness, leading through child-centered approaches, allowing for a safe space where children lead their individual learning process, and through connecting to one another and the world in a non-violent and caring way.
